One of Steam’s most useful features is the Interactive Recommender. To access it, simply go to the store and select the recommender. This tool provides personalized game recommendations based on your play history, preferences, and total hours played. You can even filter these recommendations to find exactly what you’re looking for!

2. Discover Free Games and DLCs

If you're on the hunt for free content, Steam makes it easy to find games and downloadable content (DLC) at no cost. Click on the search icon, then select Special Offers. Set the price filter to zero, and you’ll be presented with a list of free games and DLCs that you can add to your library without spending a dime.

3. Disable News Popups

To avoid the annoying news popups that appear when you launch Steam, navigate to Steam > Settings > Interface. Scroll down to the bottom and uncheck the option that says, “Notify me about additions or changes to my games, new releases, and upcoming releases.” This simple change will allow you to launch Steam without distractions.

You can personalize notifications for your friends on Steam. Click on Friends & Chat, find the friend you want to customize, right-click, and select Manage. When you’re in a game, pressing Shift + Tab opens the Steam overlay. You can pin windows, such as achievements or notes, to keep them visible while you play.
